Byron Katie - On War.......

Another inspirational quote inbetween heavy study and lecture sessions.......

“As long as we believe our thoughts, there will always be war.” - Byron Katie

This would suggest that it is all a constructed mind based version of a naturally based reality if we were to follow a critical realist perspective of our perception........?

Constructing reality: a sketch - part 1

Climbed the nearby mountain Tromsdalstinden earlier today......well sweated a lot, got half way and came back.......body tired, mind very active so..............

These are some rough ideas from my current knowledge base..........

(Copyright - J.Nicholls August 2013) LOL :p

So how do we do it? --------> (ideally) Choice driven energic social construction......?

Things within our world (perceived events) can be placed or framed subjectively through choices into a perceptual arrangement that creates a reality but how?

(awareness determines the degree of choice we can make when constructing, and awareness is developed through self analysis....etc)

Current knowledge suggests that chosen 'frames' or pathways for received perceptual data such as thought streams, beliefs systems, judgements, opinions, stereotypes, prejudices and assumptions......are constructed by....
decisions and value judgements deriving from the chosen valuation of worth (valuing) and analysis method of the received data......commonly done through the method of comparison.........

Valuation habits and patterns of analysis (ethical pathways) for perceived data can be created or learned.....(conditioned).....e.g. prejudice, stereotyping, assumptions.......

These perceived events having been subjected to appraisal habits and patterns of analysis and evaluation are processed and then placed through choice onto subjective pathways of representation.

In summary all the data that is received is arranged into an pattern which subjectively constructs.......reality..........

So how did i do.........? hopefully that helped you in someway..... :)

Perception & Choice.........

Today the power of choice is really making itself known to me...................

“Usually, we see what we want to see, not what is actually before our eyes. We look, but we may not apprehend or comprehend. We may have to tune our seeing, much as we would tune a musical instrument, to increase its accuracy, its sensitivity, its range. The intention would be to see things as they actually are, not as we would like them to be or fear them to be, or only what we are socially conditioned to see or feel.”

Mind over Matter: Energy interactions research at Princeton....

Discovered some fascinating research today...... : D x

wondering if this could be measured in real time during social interactions  like a social science version of CERN's Large Hadron Collider..........??

Loving the Howard Zinn quote aswell............buzzing :) x

will be digging a bit deeper with this stuff..............

Dr. Konstantin Korotkov, professor of physics at St. Petersburg State Technical University is attempting to build bridges to our understanding of the unseen world of energy. Scientific experiments are being carried out using a technique called bioelectrophotography. The assumption is that we are constantly emitting energy. Bioelectrophotography aims to capture these energy fields seen as a light around the body -- or what some people would call your aura.

Studies at the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) Laboratory have suggested that the mind has the subtle capacity to influence the output of devices known as Random Event Generators (REGs).

“Every word you utter to another human being has an effect, but you don't know it. If people begin to understand that change comes about as a result of a million tiny acts that seem totally insignificant, well then, they wouldn't hesitate to take those tiny acts.” -Howard Zinn

Gregg Braden takes us on a short trip through consciousness that connects our feelings and our mass reality.

20 Keys of Conscious Creation by Gregg Braden

Key 1: The Divine Matrix is the container that holds the universe, the bridge between all things, and the mirror that shows us what we have created.

Key 2: Everything in our world is connected to everything else.

Key 3: To tap the force of the universe itself, we must see ourselves as part of the world rather than separate from it.

The Nature of Interaction: Physics Theory, Psychological Energy, Identity Construction & Interface design.....

Thoughts, questions and ideas currently swimming around in the old think tank.....

sketching em out..............so roll with me....... :D

How does energy behave? (Physics......)

How is our energy being used psychologically?

How does it move and flow when we interact?

What are we constructing on an intangible level?
(developmental psychology, ego, persons, identity construction, peace education)

Does this 'constructing' process involving reality link to Bhaskar's theory of mind based reality evolving/transcending toward a more universal reality...?

What mechanisms do we use to interact with one another? (ego? Persona? - depth psychology..... )

What is the fundamental nature of our social interactions? (social ontology)

Dot joining anyone..........

How to save the world......by Lao Tzu

 Inspirational Quote for the day.......

“Would you like to save the world from the degradation and destruction it seems destined for? Then step away from shallow mass movements and quietly go to work on your own self-awareness. If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation.”

Philosophy of Perception.....Social Interface Design........

Been reading about Roy Bhaskar and Critical Realism today.........WOW!!

Lots of things bubbling........... :)

How do we interact with one another? How should we interact with one another? (expectations, norms, values, beliefs, mores?)

.......Socially, globally, individually?

Methods of interaction

How do levels of awareness influence our interactions?

choices......decisions.........? Self and others?

How do we construct ourselves in order to integrate and interact?

What are our interface design specifications......? (Role of Conditioning / Social Structures?)

Introverted settings? Extroverted settings?

How much of ourselves do we construct?

Structure/Agency.........Nature/Nurture........

...........Fascinating stuff................thinking this is going to be a fun course............ :)

Pema Chodron's Angle On Peace.....

"Whether we’re seeking inner peace or global peace or a combination of the two, the way to experience..."

http://feedly.com/k/13bciVB

“Whether we’re seeking inner peace or global peace or a combination of the two, the way to experience it is to build on the foundation of unconditional openness to all that arises. Peace isn’t an experience free of challenges, free of rough and smooth—it’s an experience that’s expansive enough to include all that arises without feeling threatened.”

- Pema Chödrön, "Unlimited Friendliness
